I came to yoga while searching for methods to heal a chronic back injury and ended up not only healing, but growing and changing in ways I never anticipated. This led me to SonicYoga‘s 200 hour teacher training program in 2009 where I studied Hatha yoga under William Duprey and Vinyasa under Johanna Aldrich, Lauren Hanna and Jeffrey Duval. In 2010, I completed Sonic’s Mentorship Program under Lisa Benner. 2011 saw the completion of my 500 hour certification with Will Duprey’s Hathavidya.
I can be found most often in NYC at SonicYoga, where I’m a member of the 200 and 500 Hour Teacher Training Faculty and guide new teachers through the Sonic Mentorship Program and Continuing Education series, in addition to 6 weekly classes and regular workshops on sadhana, philosophy and pranayama. I also teach for Mercedes Club, MPHC, and Plus One as well as my private clientele.
I’ve utilized the techniques and practice of yoga to help clients whose challenges include Multiple Sclerosis, neuropathy, heart arrhythmia and high blood pressure, as well as chronic pain and stress reduction. Private instruction is focused on the individual’s needs with an aim to empower clients to transcend perceived or real limitations, whether the intent is to heal, grow or change. My group classes offer a challenging, stripped down, breath focused practice.
